Ze Roberto: This was a hard and very good match

Apeldoorn, Netherlands, May 31, 2018 - Brazil defeated hosts the Netherlands in their third match this week 3-1 (25-23, 26-24, 13-25, 25-22) in the women's FIVB Volleyball Nations League.

Jose Roberto Guimaraes, coach of Brazil: “This was a hard and very good match. The level between both teams was equal in the first two sets. In the third set the Netherlands were serving really well, and we couldn’t actually play. In the fourth set we started serving more aggressively, and our block - defence strategy worked perfectly again. These three points are very important for us. I hope we will qualify for the Finals, and if we do, I hope we will meet the Netherlands again.”

Anne Buijs, player of the Netherlands: “This was a great game of volleyball, with two very aggressive teams. We lost the match on some details. Also Tandara was hard to stop today. We want to beat big teams like Brazil so badly, but we haven't managed to do it so far. We’ll keep improving and learning so that one day we will prevail.”

Jamie Morrison, coach of the Netherlands: “My congratulations to Brazil, a great team with a great volleyball tradition. We had some good stretches this match, but they didn’t last long enough to beat this strong opponent. We should have taken more initiative during some parts of the game. We have to learn from this match in order to get better and better.”
