Ze Roberto: We beat Argentina with good defence

Hamamatsu, Japan, September 15, 2019 – Brazil overcame Argentina 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-16) on the second day of the FIVB Women’s World Cup at Hamamatsu Arena on Sunday.

Brazil coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes: "Today was a good result for us in an important game. The key to winning was good defence, especially blocking, as well as good serves."

Brazil captain Fabiana Claudino: "I’m really happy with our win today. It’s good for us. From the start, we got into a rhythm and that helped us a lot. We’re not in the best condition, but through good teamwork, we’re getting better and better each match."

Argentina coach Hernan Ferraro: "Congratulations to Brazil for a good game. Brazil’s reception was really good and we made too many errors in attack. Brazil played great."

Argentina captain Julieta Constanza Lazcano: "Today, Brazil played great. Their reception was great and they were better than us. When they receive well, it stops us gaining points, so we have to try and do better from now."
