Lausanne, Switzerland, September 25, 2019 - With the 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup set to begin on Tuesday, men's teams are gearing up for the final climax of the international season to be played in the Japanese cities of Fukuoka, Nagano and Hiroshima from October 1 to 15.
Coach Marcelo Mendez's Argentinian team train in Kagoshima, Japan ahead of the World Cup and before meeting USA in their first match of the tournament in Fukuoka. They also take on Tunisia, Italy, Poland and Japan before moving to Hiroshima for matches against South American rivals Brazil, Canada, Iran, Russia, Egypt and Australia.
Their team includes setters Matias Sanchez and Matias Giraudo, outside hitters Ezequiel Palacios, Jan Martinez, Luciano Palonsky, Nicolas Lazo and Luciano Vicentin, opposites Bruno Lima and German Johansen, middle blockers Martin Ramos, Agustin Loser, Joaquin Gallego and Nicolas Zerba and libero Santiago Danani.
