Kwiek happy all team members played in win over Cameroon

Yokohama, Japan, September 16, 2019 - Dominican Republic endured the challenge of Cameroon to take the decider (25-17, 25-15, 23-25, 30-28, 15-10) in Day 3 of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup at the Yokohama Arena on Monday.

Dominican Republic coach Marcos Kwiek: "We are happy to win. This is a long competition. The players have to be ready for each match. We were able to use all of our players today. Some played well, others not so well. I was a good opportunity for them."

Dominican Republic player Brayelin Martinez: "At last we were able to win. I think Cameroon played very well."

Cameroon coach Jean Rene Akono Bekono: "I’m very disappointed that we lost. I am happy to win one point. We are practicing even at night after the matches trying to reinforce our defense. We are progressing and learning every day."

Cameroon captain Christelle Nana Tchoudjang: "We need to learn in each match. In that sense I can feel we are progressing. We should have won today. Our service and reception was not good in the fifth set. Our defense was good in the third and fourth sets."
