Hiroshima

Hiroshima is the principal city of the Chugoku Region and home to over a million inhabitants is called the “City of Water” on account of the six rivers that flow through it.

The city has produced many famous volleyball players, such as the late setter, Katsutoshi Nekoda who won a gold medal in the Munich Olympics in 1972. Hiroshima has regularly hosted matches of the FIVB Volleyball World Cup and was also a host city for the Asian Games in 1994 and the Volleyball World Championships in 1998.

 

Venue : Green Arena Hiroshima

The Green Arena Hiroshima is an indoor arena complex in Hiroshima, Japan. The arena was rebuilt for the 1994 Asian Games and it has hosted some of the group matches for the 2006 FIVB Men's World Championship as well as the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
