Lonneke Slöetjes
In June 2008 Lonneke
Slöetjes made her debut in the national team in the match against Cuba at the
Montreux Volley Masters. So far (01-05-2018), Slöetjes has played 230
international matches for her country. With the Dutch national team the strong
opposite conquered silver at the 2015 European Championship in The Netherlands
and silver at the 2017 European Championship in Azerbaijan. In both tournaments
Sloetjes was crowned as best opposite.
In 2016 Slöetjes and her team won bronze in the
World Grand Prix and ended on a historical fourth place in the Rio Olympics. In
the 2018-2019 season Slöetjes played for the Turkish club Vakifbank Istanbul. Slöetjes
started playing volleyball at VC Varsseveld (Varsseveld).
