Zhu Ting and and Hu Mingyuan double block while Chausheva spikes
Ningbo, China, June 19, 2019 - In-form China claimed another straight set win as they swept Bulgaria 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-16) on the second match day of the 2019 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League at Beilun Sports and Arts Center in Ningbo.
Superstar Zhu Ting chipped in a match-high 15 points for hosts China and Yuan Xinyue had 10, while Silvana Chausheva led Bulgaria with 13.
Bulgaria captain Gergana Dimitrova: "Congratulations to China. They played very, very well. We had our chances but we did not take them. So we will keep practising and try to be better."
China player Zhang Changning: "I am happy to win. Team Bulgaria also did a good job tonight. We hope that we can do better in the coming matches."
Bulgaria coach Ivan Petkov: "Congratulations to the host team and they played really good volleyball. As for our team, it is a good chance for us to play with one of the best teams in the world."
China Coach Lang Ping: "We once played team Bulgaria in the World Championships. Their combination and defence made a deep impression on me. To cope with their strong defence, we made certain preparations before the match today. In fact, I am also encouraging my players to do better in defence and to learn from our opponents.
