Marouf concluded the five weeks of Preliminary Round play as the best setter, creating countless quality plays for his teammates. He achieved an average per set of 8.45 - the highest of any player in the tournament.
He was a key to Iran's prolific performance as they earned 12 wins in 15 matches, heading into the final round.

Iran will be back for more in the 2020 edition of the Volleyball Nations League before heading to Japan for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
