Lausanne, Switzerland, May 21, 2019 – Agnieszka Kakolewska showed why she could be key to Poland women’s hopes of reaching the FIVB Volleyball Nations League Finals with another strong showing at the Montreux Volley Masters.
Poland’s captain was voted best middle blocker for the second year as Poland won gold with a 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-17, 26-24) win over Japan.
Last year was the 24-year-old’s first year as captain and the Poznan native was the leading blocker in the group stages.
Kakolewska and her teammates will enjoy the chance to show their fans the type of form they enjoyed in Montreux as they will start their 2019 Volleyball Nations League campaign against Italy, Germany and Thailand in Opole on May 21, 22 and 23.
