Shinomiya,
being called “Erika” by her team mates, is a middle blocker, born in Okayama
Prefecture, who married in 2013 and Erika and her husband, who is a rugby
football player, received happily their first baby - a girl, who was born in
January 2014, named their pretty “Waka”.
Erika
experienced two Olympics in Beijing 2008 and in London 2012, and achieved the bronze medal at London
Olympic Games in 2012, as a captain of the Japan women’s national team.
Erika
prefers to have a Western cuisine and likes to read novels and she prefers a
movie with love stories and prefers to listen to pop music.
Erika
has a respect for Ms. Tomoko Yoshihara, competed and experienced, as a middle
blocker, three Olympics in Barcelona 1992, in Atlanta 1996 and in Athens 2004
but now Yoshihara is powerfully acting as the head coach of JT Marvelous
Women’s Volleyball Club since 2015, after her remarkably coming back from her
retiring from activities as a player in May 2006.
One
of Erika’s favourite sports is rugby football or tennis.
