Smarzek yet again with 30+ lifts Poland above Russia

Lausanne, Switzerland, June 6, 2019 - For the fourth time in this FIVB Volleyball Nations League Malwina Smarzek got on the list of players to have scored 30 points or more, as she lifted Poland to triumph over Russia 3-2 (25-23, 24-26, 25-27, 25-20, 15-9) at the close of this week's pool in Kortrijk.

Smarzek had 29 kills in 57 swings (51%) and also added 3 blocks for a total of 33 points.

It is the fourth entry in the list for the 23-year-old opposite, who registered an all-time VNL high of 41 against Bulgaria, and also scored 32 against Germany and 31 against Brazil. She also appears three times on the list from last year's inaugural VNL.

It was also the second 30+ performance of the day, after Paola Egonu's 40 points for Italy against China.
