Bangkok, Thailand, June 4, 2019 - Thailand's Ajcharaporn Kongyot became the latest player to score 30 points or more in the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, as she led her side to a 3-1 (25-27, 25-20, 25-22, 25-22) win over Bulgaria in Bangkok.
The 23-year-old opposite had 17 kills from 35 swings (49%) plus 8 stuffs and 5 aces. Her blocking record is just one short of the all-time VNL high of 9.
She is the first Thai player to join the exclusive list of scorers. Earlier this season Poland's Malwina Smarzek (three times) and Italy's Paola Egonu (once) had also scored 30 points or more in a single match - including Smarzek's all-time high of 41 against Bulgaria last week.
