"For us it is a pride and a challenge as a Federation to organize an event of this magnitude," said Celia Montaruli, 4th Vice-President of the Argentine Volleyball Federation and President of the Mendoza Federation. "I think it will be an event that will allow the growth of our sport."

Argentina player Agustin Loser added: "For me it is a real pride to be here; this launching makes me start to feel the national team climate. Playing in front of the Mendoza fans with the Argentine team will be a very nice and strange feeling at the same time. Several days ago the coach called me and a new challenge begins for me. I will have to work to earn a place on the team because I want to be in Mendoza to play the VNL."
