Thiaguinho started to play volleyball with
eight years and soon left João Pessoa. He played three years in Recife and at
age 14 went to São Paulo. He played for Centro Olímpico, Pinheiros and Sesi-SP
where he became a pro. From the team in São Paulo, he got transfer to Molfetta
in Italy, where he stayed one year. For the 17/18 season, he arrived at Sesc
RJ, where he renewed his contract for next year. In the national team, he was
part of all youth categories and had as his main title the U23 World
Championship, in the first year of the category. He won the title under the
leadership of head coach, Rubinho. He returned to Saquarema (RJ) in 2018 as captain
of the B team that played and finished the Pan American Cup with the silver
medal.
