Santa Fe gears up for final week of pool play in Women's VNL

 

Santa Fe, Argentina, June 11, 2018 - The final week of women's pool play in the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League was presented to members of the press in Santa Fe as Argentina prepare to host Serbia, the United States and Korea. Team coaches and captains were part of the presentation event at the ATE Hotel.

USA coach Karch Kiraly said: "We're really happy to be here, I have some good memories about Argentine volleyball and there's a great history of volleyball in the country. We had great battles against Argentine teams so now we're excited to battle against the women's team. We will have three great games here."

USA captain Jordan Larson said: "It's my first time here, so I'm very happy to be in Santa Fe. The weather is a nice change and we're very excited to compete on this last weekend."

Korea player Kim Heejin
said: "We will face very talented players and we want to learn from them. I'll give my best and hope we can have a good competition."

Korea coach Haewon Cha
said: "We came from a very long trip, so our players are very tired. Anyway, they will be in good condition for this competition. We will face three great teams, but we will try to learn things and give our best."

Serbia coach Branko Kovacevic
said: "I want to thank Argentina and specially Santa Fe for the hospitality and the very good conditions that we have here."

Serbia captain Milena Rasic said: "It is the first time I'm in Argentina so I'm super excited. We came here with a young team and I'm happy they have the chance to gain experience here."

Argentina captain Yamila Nizetich: "I would like to thank Santa Fe for this warm welcome. I would also like to welcome the delegations, I hope you enjoy our country. The team is fine, it is our last week and even if we're tired, the motivation when we play in Argentina is different. We will give our best and hope we can bring a nice show."

Argentina coach Guillermo Orduna: "I would like to welcome USA, Serbia and Korea. It's an honour for us to have them here and to be able to be part of this show at this high level. This is very important for us and also to keep organizing these events because they have a real impact in our volleyball. I trust in the job that we have done and in the improvement of my players."
