Most Admired Person: Her parents because "my Dad served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years and taught High School science. On the long overseas tours my Mom kept my brother and I at home so we could have normal lives. They both made a lot of sacrifices to support our family."
Happiest Moment in Life: "Our wedding day, getting our dog, and buying our first home."
Path to the Podium
- Started playing indoor volleyball in 2001 with Southwest Illinois Volleyball and continued with that club until college
- Won gold with 2006 U.S. Youth National Team and 2008 U.S. Women’s Junior National Team in respective NORCECA age-group championships
- Ranked 16th in prepvolleyball.com’s 2007 Senior Class
- Named AVCA Mideast Region Freshman of the Year at University of Illinois and later was an AVCA Third-Team All-American in 2010 and 2011 with the Illini
