Marcos Kwiek has been head coach of the Dominican Republic Women's National Team since 2008. He led the team to gold at the 2010 Pan American Cup and to silvers in 2009, 2011 and 2013. He also steered the Dominican Republic to victory at the NORCECA Continental Championship in 2009. In the same year, the Dominican Republic won bronze at the World Grand Champions Cup, the team's highest ever finish in an FIVB competition. Kwiek also served as assistant coach of the Brazilian Women's National Team from 2003-2007. Under his guidance, the Dominican Republic have competed in every World Grand Prix. Although he did not lead the team at the 2015 World Grand Prix, he was present on the Dominican Republic bench at the 2015 World Cup.
