MVP Mikhaylov ends VNL on high note

 

Lille, France, July 8, 2018 - Maxim Mikhaylov ended the FIVB Volleyball Nations League Men's Finals on a high note with 19 points, helping champions Russia to gold against France.

The top scorer for his team in the final, Mikhaylov was elected Finals MVP at the end of the match after scoring from 14 spikes, 2 blocks and 3 aces against France, including 14 successful spikes from 20 attempts (70%). Mikhaylov joined seven other players on the Finals Dream Team, including Best Setter Benjamin Toniutti (France), Best Opposite Matt Anderson (USA), Best Outside Hitters Taylor Sander (USA) and Dmitry Volkov (Russia), Best Middle Blockers Dmitry Muserskiy (Russia) and Kevin Le Roux (France) and Best Libero Jenia Grebennikov (France).
