Lille preparing for spectacular Men's VNL Finals

 

Lille, France, July 2, 2018 - The inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League will reach its spectacular climax when hosts France, Olympic champions Brazil, world champions Poland, Russia, Serbia and USA compete in the Men's Finals at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille from July 4 to 8.

After five exciting weeks of Preliminary Round action, the top six teams in the men's standings will now play for honours at the state-of-the-art Pierre Mauroy stadium in northern France, with the first matches scheduled to take place on Wednesday. Preparations at the stadium are ongoing as the countdown to the competition continues.





Russia will play Poland in the opening match on Wednesday at 18.00 local time/GMT+2. That encounter will be followed by hosts France taking on Rio 2016 Olympic gold medallists Brazil at 20.45 local time/GMT+2.


From Wednesday to Sunday, the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille will set the scene for one of the most exciting volleyball events in the last decade, with Grammy-award winning Australian DJ superstars NERVO playing their brand new single, "Worlds Collide" ahead of the gold medal match.
