China hope to extend 20-1 record over Dominican Republic

Lausanne, Switzerland, May 11, 2018 - Reigning Olympic champions China host the Dominican Republic in Ningbo to close the opening day of Pool 2 of the Volleyball Nations League, looking at extending their convincing 20-1 head-to-head record against the Caribbean side.

• The women's world level major competitions are: Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cup, World Grand Prix and Grand Champions Cup.
• Prior to that sole victory by the Dominican Republic, China had beaten them in 11 meetings in a row (world level major competitions). China are now on a nine-match winnings streak against the Dominican Republic.

• China won all their five matches en route to their 2017 Grand Champions Cup title. China's last defeat in a major competition was their 3-1 loss to Serbia in the third-place decider at the 2017 World Grand Prix.
