Bruno: We all have to play and enter in the rhythm of the match

Kraljevo, Serbia, May 27, 2018 – Brazil captain Bruno Rezende highlighted the importance of team effort in their tough 3-0 win against Germany at the Volleyball Nations League on Sunday.

Brazil coach Renan dal Zotto
: “It’s great that we had the opportunity to let all the guys play. Today we tried with different line-ups like we did yesterday. Luckily for us we managed to win. Germany played really well and there were only two-point winning margins in each set.”

Brazil captain Bruno Rezende
: “We know that in this kind of competition where you play three matches in a row and with lots of travelling, we need to have a complete roster. We all have to play and enter in the rhythm of the match. We made it tonight because all of the players were really focused. We knew that Germany had nothing to lose against us. They were really aggressive on serve, but we won and that is what’s important.”

Germany coach Andrea Giani
: “We played well but the difference every time was the last point. When you are playing against a stronger team it is important to stay close to them on the scoreboard. Each player has to take responsibility. We made some crucial mistakes on easy points especially in the first and third sets, when we could have taken the lead in the decisive moments.”

Germany captain Lukas Kampa: “I am satisfied in a way because we played better as a team. However, all our achievements were offset by individual blackouts in crucial moments of the match. We had big chances to win in every set and I am sure that if we had won at least a set, the match would have gone either way. We made one step forward but we have to be sharper individually.”
