The United States' 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League success can be attributed to the solid performance of their hitters, the excellent tactical guidance by their coaches, their great teamwork, and to Tori Dixon's unrelenting net defence.
Dixon recorded only eight blocks in the first five weeks of competition, but came up with 11 stuff blocks in the final round. She also helped out in offence with 23 kills and an ace, to provide USA with the momentum to take their first-ever VNL trophy.
Dixon made her professional debut in 2013 and stayed with Rabita Baku for two seasons, then moved to Japan to play for Toray Arrows. After a couple of seasons in Japan, she played for US Victoria Monza in Italy, then left for China where she played for Beijing BAIC Motors.
