Get to know Alison 'Mammoth' Cerutti

The 35-year-old Brazilian looks ahead to the Games in Tokyo

Alison Cerutti won gold at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and was a world champion in 2011 and 2015.

He also secured a silver at the London 2012 Olympics with Emanuel Rego on his first appearance at the Games, before partnering with Bruno Oscar Schmidt at Rio, and could be working his way towards a third-straight Olympic medal with his current partner Alvaro Filho.

Alison and Alvaro now have a few more months to refine their game to be in a good position to fight for what could be the blocker’s third Olympic medal in as many appearances in the Games.

“Now we’re starting a new planning for our team,” the Olympic champion said. “There is enough time for us to prepare as well as we need. Now what we want is to make sure we do everything we can so we can play at our best.”
