In light of the global coronavirus outbreak, and following a request received from the Turkish Volleyball Federation and relevant national authorities, a decision has been made to postpone the Snow Volleyball World Tour event in Erciyes - Kayseri, Turkey, to December. The event was due to be held on 12-15 March.
The event has been postponed as a preventative measure, in order to protect the health and wellbeing of our athletes, fans and officials, which remains the FIVB’s top priority. Athletes and officials can apply to the Turkish Volleyball Federation for reimbursement of already incurred expenses due to the cancellation of the event.
The FIVB stands in solidarity with the entire global volleyball community during this difficult time, and we express our deepest sympathies to those affected by the outbreak. In consultation with national and global authorities, including the International Olympic Committee and the World Health Organisation, the FIVB continues to monitor this fast-moving global situation very closely on an hour-by-hour basis to determine any potential impact on upcoming FIVB events.
