Russia's men have taken the FIVB Volleyball Nations League by storm, grabbing the titles in both editions of the competition so far, after twice beating the home sides in the gold medal matches: France in Lille in 2018 and USA in Chicago in 2019 - so they're now looking for the hat-trick.
Once more they'll be relying on their physical domination with such stars as the 2018 VNL MVP Maxim Mikhaylov and the 2019 VNL top server Egor Kliuka.
The women's team of Russia, 8th in 2018 and 14th in 2019 will be counting on the likes of established stars Nataliya Goncharova and Irina Voronkova for a return to becoming once again a dominant force in world volleyball - but keep an eye out for youngster Arina Fedorovtseva who is expected to debut in the VNL.
