Another Masters stop on the Ukrainian national beach volleyball tour was held over the weekend at the SUNRISE indoor beach sports complex in Kyiv, with the participation of 14 women’s and 14 men’s teams.
Inna Makhno & Diana Lunina topped the women’s podium (pictured in the main photo) following a great comeback in Sunday’s final against Maryna Hladun & Tetiana Lazarenko. After losing the first set, Makhno & Lunina fought their way back to a 2-1 (17-21, 21-15, 15-10) victory.
The women’s bronze went to Valentyna Davidova & Olga Mykhailovska. After losing their semi-final to Hladun & Lazarenko by a tight 2-0 (21-13, 22-20), they won the third-place match by forfeit, following the withdrawal of Iryna Makhno & Olena Kurkina.

The men’s medal matches also offered three-set battles. In the final showdown, Serhii Zubyk & Vitalii Kybenko achieved a 2-1 (21-10, 20-22, 15-10) victory over Ivan Datsiuk & Vitalii Grachov to top the podium.
In the third-place game, Serhii Tarasov & Anton Koshkarov defeated Savelii Ushakov & Egor Skrypnychenko by a hard-fought 2-1 (21-16, 16-21, 15-13).
