Guam becomes new World Tour host

 
Hagatna, Guam, December 2, 2019 – Guam will become the second Oceania nation outside Australia to host an FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event, following the path started by the Cook Islands earlier in the 2019-2020 season. 

The Pacific island nation will organise a women-only 1-Star, that will run from March 5-8. 

Guam is a U.S. island territory in Micronesia, in the Western Pacific. It lies 2,500 kilometres east of the Philippines, 4,500 kilometres north of Australia and 7,200 kilometres west of the USA.

There are 41 events in the 2019-2020 World Tour calendar with another highlight being the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games beach volleyball tournament which will run from Saturday July 25 to Saturday August 8.
