After dropping from 9th place in 2018 to 14th in 2019, Germany's men's national team will be looking to return amongst the top ten teams of the world's volleyball elite when they take to the court in May for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League in Italy's Adriatic resort of Rimini.
Look out for such established stars as Lukas Kampa and Marcus Böhme as they try and take Germany to a new level this year.
The women's team of Germany has had a more stable performance in the past editions of the VNL, climbing to 10th in 2019 from 11th in 2008. They're now ready for the next big step ahead, headed by their star player Louisa Lippmann who played this season for both Shanghai in China and Lokomotiv Kaliningrad in Russia.
