The highest ranked of the three Swiss teams, Heidrich/Zumkehr will be seeded 16th at the FIVB World Championships. Heidrich, 23 and 6-3 is living in Zurich while Zumkehr, 30, 5-8, resides in Bern and together they have played in 19 FIVB international events with three fifths and seven ninth-place finishes. Overall, Heidrich has played in 38 total FIVB events and Zumkehr has 101 FIVB stops on her record with two gold medals with Simone Kuhn with whom she finished ninth at the 2012 Olympics. Zumkehr has played in four previous FIVB World Champions including 2013 when she finished 17th with Heidrich. Heidrich has played in The Hague three times and Zumkehr five including the last two together with 17th and fifth place finishes. Heidrich won gold at the 2011U-21 FIVB World Championships in Halifax, Canada with Nina Betschart.
