Suelen earns 2018 VNL Best Libero award

Suelen Pinto was a key figure for the Brazilian national team as they embarked on their first FIVB Volleyball Nations League campaign in 2018. One of the hardest working players on the court, she defended every ball that came her way to be the team's chief defender.

She received the Best Libero award at the 2018 VNL with an average of 1.89 digs per set in the preliminary round. She defended even harder in the final round with a 2.5 average.

Suelen started her club career with Minas Tenis Clube in 2004 and featured for five other Brazilian teams over the course of 12 years, before moving to Italian club Foppapedretti Bergamo for one season. She returned to Brazil in 2017 to play for Dentil Praia Clube and has stayed there since.

Look back at some of Suelen's performances and watch Brazil's 2018 and 2019 VNL matches on Volleyball TV!
