The fourth Brazilian pair to qualify for the 2017 FIVB World Championships via their international ranking, Guto and Solberg are competing together internationally for the first-time this season. While Pedro has completed in the previous five world championships with five different partners highlighted by a 2015 bronze medal finish with Evandro Goncalves, Guto, who started playing on the FIVB World Tour in 2014, will be participating in his first world finals. Solberg started playing in FIVB-sanctioned events since 2002 and has a combined 20 international gold medals, including three at youth world championships and 17 on the World Tour. The FIVB’s 2016 rookie-of-the-year, Guto also has a youth world championship gold medal along with a world tour title.
