Lausanne, Switzerland, May 15, 2019 - Brazil's men's National Team is getting together in full composition after coach Renan Dal Zotto called the last group to join the preparation, following the end of club obligations at home and abroad.
The players in preparation, some of them joining the group at later stages:
• Opposites: Wallace de Souza (Sesc Rio de Janeiro), Alan Souza (Sesi Sao Paulo), Felipe Roque (Minas Tenis Clube Belo Horizonte), Rafael Araujo (Onico Warsaw).
• Setters: Bruno 'Bruninho' Rezende (Cucine Lube Civitanova), Eduardo Carisio (Minas Tenis Clube Belo Horizonte), Thiago 'Thiaguinho' Veloso (Sesc Rio de Janeiro), Fernando Cachopa (Sada Cruzeiro Contagem).
• Middle blockers: Isac Santos (Sada Cruzeiro Contagem), Mauricio Souza (Sesc Rio de Janeiro), Otavio Pinto (Funvic Taubate), Lucas 'Lucao' Saatkamb (Funvic Taubate), Flavio Gualberto (Minas Tenis Clube Belo Horizonte), Matheus Santos (Minas Tenis Clube Belo Horizonte).
• Outside hitters: Rodrigo 'Rodriguinho' Leao (Sada Cruzeiro Contagem), Henrique Honorato (Minas Tenis Clube Belo Horizonte), Ricardo Lucarelli (Funvic Taubate), Yoandy Leal (Cucine Lube Civitanova), Lucas Loh (Sesi Sao Paulo), Douglas Souza (Funvic Taubate), Mauricio Borges (Sesc Rio de Janeiro), Carlos Silva 'Kadu' (Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia).
• Liberos: Nascimento Maique (Minas Tenis Clube Belo Horizonte), Thales Hoss (Funvic Taubate).
Brazil will have their final tests ahead of the VNL in friendlies with Canada at Campinas, before travelling to Europe to face USA, Australia and hosts Poland 31 May to 2 June at Katowice on the opening weekend.
The two matches against Canada will be played on 22 and 24 May at the Taquaral Gymnasium, starting at 22:00 and 21:30 respectively local time (01:00 on 23 May and 00:30 on 25 May GMT).
Canada will then head to Mendoza, where they open their VNL campaign against Portugal, Bulgaria and hosts Argentina.
