Lausanne, Switzerland, May 31, 2018 - Week 2 of the 2018 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League begins with a bang, Friday, as the only two teams on full points after Week 1 go head-to-head when reigning world champions Poland host 2018 FIVB World League gold medallists France in Lodz.

Meanwhile, of the other unbeated sides after three matches, Rio 2016 Olympic silver medallists Italy travel to San Juan to face pool hosts Argentina, Canada and Iran; and Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medallists USA go to Goiania, where reigning Olympic champions Brazil also host Japan and Korea.

These are the pools for this week:

Pool 5 in Sofia: Bulgaria, Australia, Russia, Serbia.
Pool 6 in Goiania: Brazil, Japan, Korea, USA.
Pool 7 in San Juan: Argentina, Canada, Iran, Italy.
Pool 8 in Lodz: Poland, China, France, Germany.

And here's what to watch out for this week:
• Which of Poland or France will retain the pole position in the VNL standings after the two leaders go head-to-head this week in Lodz?
• Will Italy and USA remain undefeated after their near-perfect runs (each dropped a point in five-set wins) of the opening week?
• Can Ivan Zaytsev, currently the only player in the VNL to have bagged 30 or more points in a single match, keep up the scoring?
• Will Argentina, Germany, Australia or Korea score their first VNL wins, after wrapping up the opening week 0 and 3?
