Playing as a youth in the national team, Lipe was South American champion in 2000 and World champion in 2001, besides a second place in the National Special Division for the Paraná State Team.  As a junior, trophy list has a gold medal in the South American Championship in 2002 and a silver medal in the World Championship (2003). Lipe has also three great achievements: South American champion in 2005 and 2013 and gold medal in the Pan American Games in 2011. Besides, he was second place on 2005 Americas Cup and 2013 World League. Lipe defended the national team in two more occasion: the test-event of London Olympic Games and the Universiade. In the year of 2013, Lipe was parto of the national team in all the competitions, taking part in the World League silver medal and the gold medals in the South American Cup and the Grand Champions Cup. The wing spiker helped Brazil to win the silver medal in the 2014 FIVB World League and in the FIVB World Championship. Lipe also was part of the team that played the World League in 2015. In 2016, he was part of the team that achieved the silver medal in the FIVB World League and started in the team that won the gold medal in 2016 Olympic Games at Rio de Janeiro. Lipe was the responsible to make the point that gave the gold medal to Brazil. In 2017, he was part of the team that played in the FIVB World League and will be back this year for the national team.
